  • HEATED PACKERS
    SAVA INTRODUCES HEATED PACKER

    The latest invention from Sava is ready to be released for the first time. The heated packer, or JUST HEAT, can significantly reduce the turnaround time for patch pipe repairs and allow repairs to be carried out even at low temperatures. The first device of its kind, this product stands to make a big impact within the drainage industry.

    The relationship between temperature and curing time for patch repairs is not a new observation. A 10°C decrease in temperature can as much as double the curing period required for the resin used for localised patch repairs, which can make working in cold conditions impractical and inefficient. The JUST HEAT packer has an internal heater, allowing the temperature to be raised to reduce the curing time by as much as half, regardless of the outside temperature. The temperature can be easily monitored and adjusted with the digital control unit, giving you full control of the process.

    This new technology could allow work to be carried out all year round. Preferable to working in warmer conditions, the heater is left inactive while the resin is being applied to allow the longest possible time before it becomes unusable, and switched on only when the packer is securely in the pipe to speed up the curing process. This allows greater flexibility than standard packers.

  • A NEW MOTORCYCLE RADIAL TYRE FROM MITAS
    SPORT FORCE
    Off-road tyre producer Mitas, a member of the CGS Group, introduced a new Mitas-branded radial motorcycle tyre, Sport Force, to the worldwide market.
    Sport Force is manufactured in Savatech, the latest acquisition of CGS HOLDING a.s. The sport and touring motorcycle tyre line will extend and improve the existing Mitas-branded cross-ply off-road motorcycle tyres.

    The new Sport Force radial tyre will be initially available in three front sizes and five rear sizes.

    Same purpose. Same riding characteristics. Same technology. The only difference is brand name.


  • TESpacer - DEVELOPMENT PROJECT PRESENTATION

    SAVATECH has begun to independently develop a flexible spacer for IGU: TESpacer with its main component, a rubber compound based on the fogging-free EPDM and integrated desiccant, incorporating selected lamination materials and advanced lamination technology. The product was tested at the ift Institute in Rosenheim, Germany.




  • Virtual development of gaskets
    The majority of gaskets are developed in virtual environment.
    Virtual development or virtual prototyping is a modern interdisciplinary approach to the development of products oriented to the development of solutions, which are best in terms of design and offered at most favourable prices. We have established a close cooperation with our customers and we consider their demands with regard to the functionality and restrictions. In virtual development of gaskets we are assisted by the R&D Institute of Savatech.

    Virtual prototypes are analysed in the computer-assisted environment. Using numerical simulations provided by the advanced Marc and Marc Mentat software tools , the optimum cross-section of a gasket is determined, suitability of the selected material assessed and stress-deformation properties in the cross-section of a gasket in operation checked up. The input data is either obtained from customers, or from measurements carried out in our accredited Central Laboratory.

    The following input data is needed for carrying out a numerical simulation of a gasket:
    • A 2D or 3D CAD drawing of the cross-section and installation parts in accordance with customer requirement.
    • Mechanical properties of the gasket, which are measured at the Central Laboratory of Savatech.
    • The application area of the gasket and other requirements with regard to the loads.
    • Type of materials of adjoining built-in parts.
    • Criterion (criteria) for optimising the gasket cross-section.
    • Numerical simulations are performed for all types of gaskets manufactured by the Profiles programme and installed in windows and doors, sliding garage doors, façades, tunnels, anti-noise and windbreak fences, white goods, etc.
    We have optimised the shape and chosen the most appropriate type of rubber for gaskets used in the building industry. We added the value to our products by a much softer closing of a window and a prolonged service life of gaskets. If required, the result of numerical simulations can be further certified by measuring the closing force of the gasket according to the SIST EN 12365 standard, or tests are made at customers following the specified measurement method.
